30 Days, 30 Questions- Day 1

1. When did you start putting on makeup?

I went to an all girls school, so makeup wasn't an everyday thing for me until after I left high school. I had always loved playing with my mother's makeup, but probably got my first makeup at around 13. I wore Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, some chanel black eyeliner and some light pink blush, with a lipliner/lipstick neutral combo from Chanel.

I dug through all my old photos and found some wonderful photos of my first year or so of wearing makeup!

I'm pretty sure I was around 13 here, and I'm pretty sure this was the first time I had ever worn eyeliner.

this was my first summer in New York. I had begged my mother to let me put purple in my hair, and this was the result. I'm pretty sure I wore this Chanel lipliner/lipstick combo for the first 2 years I wore makeup. I wish I still knew what color this was, as I think its gorgeous.

and finally... this was about 6 months later, heavier on the eyeliner, same pink blush and lipstick.

My New Favorite Look!

Hey guys! I've recently been venturing into green eyeshadow. I've never really worn it, probably because I really detest the color green. However, with my dark brown eyes and blonde hair, I think the green shadow is striking :) Even more than that, I used my wet and wild shadow trios and they are AMAZING. I can't believe the quality for the price.

without further ado- here is the look and a breakdown :)

Face: Laura Mercier Hydrating primer, Laura Mercier Moisturizing Foundation in Warm Ivory, MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural and Light Medium

Eyes: Tarte Eye Primer, Wet and Wild Trios in Cool as a Cucumber and Walking on Eggshells, LORAC Front of the Line Pro, Smashbox Eyelash Primer, DJV Beautinizer Fiberwig LX mascara, Anastasia Blonde Brow Gel

Cheeks: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed, NARS Laguna Bronzer and Albatross Highlighter

Lips: Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Rose Ingenue 523

and for a breakdown on the eyes:

I used the Tarte Eye Primer as an all over base, the highlighter shade from Cool as a Cucumber all over the lid, Lid color on the outer V and lower lashes (also on outer 1/3 of the upper lash line) and the crease shade in the crease and the highlighter from the Walking on Eggshells Highlighter shade as a highlight.

LORAC front of the line Pro in a very thin line on upper lash line, Smashbox lash primer, DJV Beautinizer Fiberwig LX

I'm absolutely loving these shadows! I'll probably depot all the ones I have into a Z palette :)

Super Quick NOTD

So I know I said I wasn't going to post today, but I just had to show you guys my latest nail combo. you will have to excuse the awful photo, its almost 2 am in Paris, and I was using my "camera" on my computer.

so the colors are Chanel 521 Rose Cache and Gosh Limited Edition Polish in 001 Lavender Love, although it is obviously NOT lavender at all!

I will post a better picture tomorrow, but it was just too gorgeous not to share!

Beauty Diary Face Masks Review

After reading reviews and watching youtube videos on these little wonder sheets for AGES, I finally caved and searched on evilbay to see what I could find. Seeing as how I was new to not only Beauty Diary, but also sheet masks in general, I wanted to try and find one of the sets with multiple of the masks to try.

I ended up ordering two of the three limited edition Alice in Wonderland, and I could not be happier that I did!

If you aren't familiar with sheet masks, essentially its a fabric sheet soaked in a fluid mask, with holes for your eyes, nose and mouth that you place on your face for up to 30 minutes. I've read different things about post mask etiquette, so to speak, but I like to get the most out of them and rub in the excess fluid until my face is no longer wet.

I usually apply them after cleansing, before moisturizing, and have been using them usually ever other night.

overall I would definitely recommend these, and these have been replacing my usual cream masques since I got them!

My favorites so far: Aloe, Bulgarian White Rose and Black Pearl Powder

also, be wary when buying these off ebay, and make sure to buy from a reputable seller!

Quick FOTD!

I just wanted to share a super quick FOTD I did today to go run errands :) this took about 5 minutes, and is great for those mornings when you have to run out of the door.

Face: Bio Oil as a moisturizer (review coming soon), Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer, Guerlain Terracotta Healthy Glow Foundation

Cheeks: Becca Watermelon Beach Tint

Eyes: MAC Rubenesque paint pot, Blinc Mascara

That's it! I should mention that I used my facial tanner last night, and I find that I use much less makeup with a little color!
