Beauty Diary Face Masks Review

After reading reviews and watching youtube videos on these little wonder sheets for AGES, I finally caved and searched on evilbay to see what I could find. Seeing as how I was new to not only Beauty Diary, but also sheet masks in general, I wanted to try and find one of the sets with multiple of the masks to try.

I ended up ordering two of the three limited edition Alice in Wonderland, and I could not be happier that I did!

If you aren't familiar with sheet masks, essentially its a fabric sheet soaked in a fluid mask, with holes for your eyes, nose and mouth that you place on your face for up to 30 minutes. I've read different things about post mask etiquette, so to speak, but I like to get the most out of them and rub in the excess fluid until my face is no longer wet.

I usually apply them after cleansing, before moisturizing, and have been using them usually ever other night.

que hilarious face mask photo :)

overall I would definitely recommend these, and these have been replacing my usual cream masques since I got them!

My favorites so far: Aloe, Bulgarian White Rose and Black Pearl Powder

also, be wary when buying these off ebay, and make sure to buy from a reputable seller!

quite a long post for tonight, sorry I'm a little chatty!

Quick FOTD!

I just wanted to share a super quick FOTD I did today to go run errands :) this took about 5 minutes, and is great for those mornings when you have to run out of the door.

Photobucket

Face: Bio Oil as a moisturizer (review coming soon), Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer, Guerlain Terracotta Healthy Glow Foundation
Cheeks: Becca Watermelon Beach Tint
Eyes: MAC Rubenesque paint pot, Blinc Mascara

That's it! I should mention that I used my facial tanner last night, and I find that I use much less makeup with a little color!

thanks

-Do you go to CCO's? Yes! but they are so bad for my wallet!

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes? Yes, I'd love to but they are so expensive; you can learn from YouTube for free

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? Only when its early in the morning, or I've already had a couple drinks.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on? Yes, and do sometimes, but I have too much fun putting on makeup to not wear it!

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on? If my skin is nice, of course!

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line? I think that Guerlain has a very solid line, as does Chanel and Bobbi Brown. I'm liking more subdued makeup as I get older.

-What do you think of Makeup?? It's my passion, what I consider myself talented in, and what I want to do for the rest of my life :)

hope you enjoyed that

Anyways, I've made a goal to blog atleast once a day, for the entire month of September, so get ready!

My Recent Glittery Day Look

In my last post I mentioned my newfound love for glitter at night and here is the look translated into a more daytime appropriate look. I wore this for about 4 days in a row, adding some dark grey in the outer v and crease to transfer it into night
Face- Estee Lauder Double Wear Max Coverage in Ivory Light mixed with Estee Lauder Double Wear in 1C1 Shell, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20, YSL Touche Eclat #2 under eyes, Armani loose powder in Pink (i'm not sure what the number is, I've had this for almost two years, its a gorgeous luminous pink and I think it was limited edition, but has recently been re-released)

Cheeks- Benfit Posie Tint, MAC Mineralize Blush in Daft Pink

Eyes- Painterly as a base, Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eyeshadow in Platinum (on the lid), Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure Gold (on lid and inner corners), MAC Reflects Gold glitter (dabbed lightly in the middle of the lid), LORAC front of the line pro eyeliner(top lashline), Guerlain Terracotta Kohl (on water line)

Lips- Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Peroxide

Spring looks pt 1 and Estee Lauder Mini Review

I know that I say that I will post more often every post.... truth is between actual classes and school work I have little to no time to sleep, none the less blog- but I have spring break coming up- so expect a lot more additions, to anyone still reading, that is.

anyways-- I did this look the other night before dinner with some friends and thought I would share with you.

This look used up the last of two foundation samples I got when I was back home- Estee Lauder Double Wear and Double Wear Maximum Cover, which I can't find here in Europe, so am having my mom pick up for me. The two colors I was matched in were 1C1 Shell and Cream Ivory respectively.

The combination of these two colors matches spot on to my skin, super matt, doesn't need a powder (one less step, right?) and doesn't budge. I have worn this for a good 15 hours without it acting patchy, which is pretty amazing if you ask me. Its also extremely full coverage due to the Maximum cover, which is actually great for me right now because I've got some nasty hormonal acne that has plagued me recently. I must admit that its quite a shock for me as my skin has been pretty perfect for most of my life, but that's a whole other story...

ONTO THE LOOK...
Face- Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell, Maximum Cover in Cream Ivory, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20

Cheeks- Tarte Dollface Cheek Stain, MAC Daft Pink Mineralize Blush, NARS Ablatross Highlighter

Eyes- MAC Paintpot in Painterly as a base, MAC Paintpot in Dangerous Cuvee (on the lid, LE from Cham Pale), Urban Decay Naked Palette (colors used: Virgin as highlight, Toasted on lid, and Gunmetal to darken the crease), Urban Decay Glitter Liner in Glam Rock, Fiberwig LX Mascara, Guerlain Terracotta Kohl (on the waterline), and Anastasia tinted brow gel in Blonde

Lips- In this photo all I have on is Benefit Poseytint- but when I went out I wore Dior Lip Polish in Fresh Expert for a hint of pink with a glossy sheen.

I loved the extra sparkle from the glitter liner... and although I'm usually not a glitter fiend, I'm loving it more and more for nighttime looks!

till next time,
